We do adoptions in different areas of CA and Las Vegas ***NO CA: We will be doing adoptions next on Saturday, April 20th from 12:30-4pm & Sunday, April 21st from 12-3pm at Campbell Pet Food Express . *Las Vegas: if you are interested in one of our dogs so we can set up to meet with you. We only bring those dogs who are set up to meet with pre-approved applicants.*So. CA: If the dog is fostered in So CA then we can do an adoption any day. We do adoptions by appointment once an application has been submitted and approved. **Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions.
* All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.
* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.
* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.
* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.

Buttercup is a 4-year old Yorkie who was rescued from a Los Angeles area shelter on a cold, rainy day. She implored us with her lovely eyes to rescue her from her damp jail cell and we happily obliged.
Buttercup is a lovely blend of independence and sweetness. She is somewhat aloof with those she doesn?t know. She doesn?t demand attention, and prefers to lingering near you rather than lounging on your lap. Since her photos were taken, she has filled out nicely (about 12 pounds now) and has a full coat, that is non-shedding and a good option for those who have allergies as well as for those who wish just simply not to have a shedding dog. She is crate trained and does well in the house provided she is given appropriate potty breaks on a predictable schedule or access to an enclosed yard via a doggy door. She gets along with small dogs and can share her home with larger dog that is well-mannered, She is not a yappy dog, but will bark if appropriate, such as when someone is at the door. She loves being outdoors and going for walks, but is by no means a high- energy dog.
Buttercup is best suited for older kids (ages 10+) who know how to interact appropriately with small dogs or an adult home. She has not lived with cats so far as we know, so a cat-free home is best.

We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) **If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
