We do adoptions in different areas of CA and Las Vegas ***NO CA: We will be doing adoptions next on Saturday, April 27th from 12:30-4pm & Sunday, April 28th from 12-3pm at Campbell Pet Food Express . *Las Vegas: We will be doing adoptions by appointment only on Wed. April 30th. if you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application so we can set up to meet with you. We only bring those dogs who are set up to meet with pre-approved applicants.*So. CA: If the dog is fostered in So CA then we can do an adoption any day. We do adoptions by appointment once an application has been submitted and approved. **Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions.
* All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.
* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.
* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.
* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.

This dog will be at adoptions on Saturday, April 27th at Campbell Pet Food Express from 12:30-4pm and on Sunday, April 28th from 12:00-3:00 pm or until adopted. If you would like to meet this dog then please fill out an application so we will bring this dog to adoptions. John Bates is a 3-4 year old Westie-Maltese mix who weighs 11.9lbs. He is not a barker. He is a sweet, loving little guy who initially is a bit on the insecure side. But very quickly he bonds with his people. He loves to follow his foster mom all around the house. He also lives with a pre-teen kid who he adores. If he's given the opportunity he'll hang out in her room or trot around after her outside. He loves his kids. He's an option for well behaved kids. John Bates currently lives with dogs of all sizes from big dogs to little dogs. He gets along with them all and doesn't have any issues. He goes to the dog park regularly and loves to hang out at home with his foster brothers. He also lives with a cat. He seemed to be unsure of himself around the cat initially (almost scared of the cat) and now they're best friends. They can often be found sleeping on the bed together. John could easily live in an apartment or condo setting. He's not a barker. He doesn't require extensive exercise. He will need a home that goes slowly with him and doesn't immediately smother him with love. He will eventually love to be smothered but at first he's a bit insecure. He's most likely been an outdoor dog before coming into the rescue so all new things take a minute for him to adjust. But once he is comfortable oh he's such a lover boy and just the sweetest, kindest little guy. He's going to be an amazing pet for a family.
