We do adoptions in different areas of CA and Las Vegas ***NO CA: We will be doing adoptions next on Saturday, April 6th from 12:30-4pm & Sunday, April 7th from 12-3pm at Campbell Pet Food Express . *Las Vegas: if you are interested in one of our dogs so we can set up to meet with you. We only bring those dogs who are set up to meet with pre-approved applicants.*So. CA: If the dog is fostered in So CA then we can do an adoption any day. We do adoptions by appointment once an application has been submitted and approved. **Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions.
* All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.
* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.
* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.
* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.

Ecko is about 7 years old. Ecko was found as a puppy in Afghanistan by a soldier who was serving his Tour at that time. When he returned to the states, so did Ecko where he has lived his entire life as this particular veteran's best friend. Two months ago, Ecko's "Dad" found out he had terminal cancer and only had a few months. Ecko, along with his other furry family members sadly had to be re-homed after this devistating news. Ecko was terrified when he joined our rescue. All he had known, his whole life, was now gone. Strange people, strange animals and a strange home now all surrounded him. It has been a couple weeks now and Ecko has come full circle. He loves his foster mom. Is always by her side no matter if she is inside, outside or fast asleep for the night. He does fabulous with the other family members in his home and is happy to spend some time outside with the other dogs. He will do best in a quiet home. Still has quite a bit of energy to go for a good walk or hike. Very young at heart and had we not know for a fact that he is 7 years old, we would think he was younger. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) **If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
