We do adoptions in different areas of CA and Las Vegas ***NO CA: We will be doing adoptions next on Saturday, April 20th from 12:30-4pm & Sunday, April 21st from 12-3pm at Campbell Pet Food Express . *Las Vegas: if you are interested in one of our dogs so we can set up to meet with you. We only bring those dogs who are set up to meet with pre-approved applicants.*So. CA: If the dog is fostered in So CA then we can do an adoption any day. We do adoptions by appointment once an application has been submitted and approved. **Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions.
* All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.
* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.
* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.
* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.

This dog will be at adoptions on Saturday, April 20th at Campbell Pet Food Express from 12:30-4pm and on Sunday, April 21st from 12:00-3:00 pm or until adopted. If you would like to meet this dog then please fill out an application so we will bring this dog to adoptions. Flicka is a 2 year old Papillon-Long Haired Chihuahua who weighs about 6lbs. She is full grown. She was a rescue from the shelter. She currently lives with big and small dogs. She has a fabulous personality that gets along with everyone. She is a lover girl and she likes to play with the dogs or she can simply live by herself. She can go to the dog park or to the doggy day camp or over to friends houses that have dogs. She's an ideal dog to take out in public places to meet people or dogs. Flicka currently lives with cats. Of course she does wonderfully but again, they are twice the size of her too. She also lives with an 11 year old little girl who she adores and who she sleeps with every night. Of course the little girl tells her Mom that Flicka is sleeping in the crate but well, we know the truth...Due to her small size we do not want to place with small children unless Mom and Dad demonstrate a dog savviness on the application. Flicka is not a barker. She is an ideal candidate for a condo or apartment living. She doesn't require a lot of exercise so a basic walk or stroll around the neighborhood or a quick jont off to the dog park will more than suffice for her. Flicka is crate trained. She normally eats in her crate and up until about a week or so ago, she was sleeping in the crate at night. Yes, she now has moved into the bed with the little girl in her foster home. Flicka has a wonderful personality. She is a cuddler and a snuggler. She loves to be with her people. She follows her foster mom and the family around the house. She doesn't get underfoot but she does like to be in the same room as them. She loves to curl up under foster mom's desk when she is working. She is an option to go to the office or work with Mom or Dad if they are looking for a small dog who could hang out at the office.
