Not all dogs go to our events. Pls read entire biography before emailing. We do adoptions in different areas of CA and Las Vegas ***NO CA: Saturday, November 10th at the Campbell Pet Food Express from 4:00-7:30pm and Sunday, November 11th at Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 11:30-3:30pm. If you want to meet a specific dog you must submit an application. Otherwise the dog you are interested in may not be at adoptions. *So. CA: We do adoptions by appointment once an application has been submitted. *Las Vegas: Send in an application and we will set up a date to meet. **Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions.
* All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.
* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.
* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.
* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.

We are not looking to place these two together. They simply were rescued together and currently are residing in the same foster home so that is the basis for the bio on them. These 2 handsome brothers were nearly run over by cars as they frantically ran down a pitch black road scared & bewildered at 10:30pm one night. One of our volunteers pulled over to help thinking there was just 1 dog but quickly learned there were 2. BJ wasn't visible at first because he is mostly black but as soon as the car door was opened & Bear jumped in, BJ was right behind him! These poor boys had been on their own for awhile & it had been hot during the days - they quickly went through bucket after bucket of fresh cool water! They were skinny, dehydrated & their ears raw & bloody from fly bites. It was obvious that they were not well-cared for & were likely dumped in the nearby riverbed. They are now getting used to & enjoying 2 meals a day which we don't think they've ever had before. Their ears are nearly healed now & they're learning to be indoor/outdoor doggies very quickly! The more they're in the house, the better they do & are getting used to having kitties around. They get along with other dogs & are just sweet as can be! They are both very affectionate, sweet boys! Bear is the more outgoing leader type & BJ is the more quiet cuddly one. Both will do well in any home environment as long as they have a good sized yard with secure fencing. These will be big boys so perfect for our outdoorsy folks who are looking for a hiking, biking or running buddy. At approx 9 months of age, these boys are still puppies so please be willing & able to train them accordingly.

(Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) **If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
