Welcome to Sterling Valley Goldens! We are a small hobby breeder of quality Golden Retrievers located in sunny Southern California. We strive to produce happy, healthy, well socialized pups that are bred to the standards set forth by the American Kennel Club.
We have a busy home with four young children. Our children are a big part of our puppy?s lives and help serve a very important role in providing you with well socialized and friendly pups. Your dog will come to you confident, well adjusted, and kid friendly! We consider our dogs to be a part of the family and often refer to them as our ?fur-kids?. They spend their days hanging out wherever the family may be and their nights lounging in our rooms. Our litters are raised inside our home and thrive on the constant attention they receive.
We take pride in our breeding program and our puppies. Our number one priority is the health of our puppies. All our dogs of breeding age have full health clearances. We certify their eyes, hips, and elbows through CERF (Canine Eye Registry Foundation) and the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) prior to breeding. While we do not own any stud dogs at this time, all chosen studs also have full health clearances. Health clearances on both parents are available upon request. Puppies are vet checked, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed several times, and microchipped before leaving our home. Puppies go to their new homes with a ?puppy packet? including their AKC registration certificate, health records, a small sample of high quality food, and a toy with the scent of mom and their litter mates to make for a smooth transition into your home.
Puppies begin working on housetraining around 3 weeks of age, and basic training around 5 weeks of age. We believe that the care, training, and socialization we provide while the puppies are in our care provide them with a solid start to life.
