Axel has definitely used up at least one of his nine lives!!!! What a fortunate cat............the kitty angel must have been looking over him when he was hit by a car on 1/31 and left on the side of the road for dead. His tongue was sliced open and tires removed a lot of his fur. He was in a mess. A good samaritan found him and took him to AAA Animal Hospital, where they x-rayed him and checked him over and - if you can believe this - he had NO internal injuries!!!! They gave him a cortisone shot, and he perked up right away. A rescue group picked him and took him in to nurse him back to good health, and brought him to us on 3/27. What a sweet natured perfect family cat. And handsome too! He loves to be brushed ( most of his missing fur has grown back, though he still has a couple of bare patches) and have his belly rubbed, and he is just a sweet, sociable cat who loves to visit with the other cats. He is just so happy to be alive. you won't regret sharing your life with Axel - just don't let him outdoors please.He may not be so lucky next time. Axel has tested negative for feline aids and leukemia, has received his Rabies shot and his initial 3-in-1 combination vaccination, and has been micro chipped.Available for adoption daily at Petsmart, 573 N.
