Pls read entire biography before emailing. *NO CA: Saturday December 17th, 4:30-7:30pm at Blossom Hill Pet Food Express in San Jose & Sunday, December 18th, 11:30-3pm at Blossom Hill Pet Food Express.* Vegas: We are doing adoptions in Vegas by appointment only on Wed. 14th. We will only bring those dogs who have set up appointments. If interested in one of our dogs, please read the biography and submit an application. We do adoptions by appointment only. * So. CA: We do adoptions throughout the week and on the weekens by appointment when an applicant has filled out an application. If interested in one of our dogs, please read the biography and then fill out the application in order to proceed. **Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions.
* All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.
* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.
* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.
* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.

Pumbaa in Swahili means absentminded and trust us, that's exactly what he acts like! Much like the character in the Lion King our Pumbaa has absolutely no worries at all. He loves everyone. He is friendly and outgoing and completely unassuming. Yes, he is adorable and perhaps a little 'light upstairs' but that just makes for the most loving, sweet little dog. He is a great option for folks who are first time dog owners. He is an option to go with dogs, cats or kids. We prefer not to place our small dogs with small children. If the parents have had experience (recent, not just growing up) and can demonstrate that then we can consider Pumbaa. Pumbaa is an option to go to an apartment or condo setting. Pumbaa is about 6-7lbs and easily will fit under the seat if a flying companion. He will ride in the car with ease and will be a lover boy in all settings. He's an option to go on walks, to go to the local coffee shop, to hang out at the office with Mom or Dad. All around Pumbaa is a great all around dog!

We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) **If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
